Setting Up a Job Interview

Movie #79 of the year, True Grit.

About an hour before the start time of the movie I received a call regarding a job that I applied to that morning (Hollywood works fast, when it needs to.) I told the gal I would be available to interview following the movie, she said she’d call back to make sure it was okay. So Jeremy and I drove to the theater, still no call. Found our seats, still no call. Sat through the trailers, still no call. Then, the moment the final trailer ended and the lights were fully dimmed, my phone lit up — she was calling me back. So off I dashed to the noisy concession area to answer my phone.

After the brief phone call of setting up the logistics of the interview I was back in the theater, where, to my surprise, the screen was blank — the movie had not yet started! Soon after I took my seat the movie started and two hours and one heck of a film later, Jeremy and I beat the stampede out of the theater and galloped to the offices for my interview.

And the best part is I got the job!
